What to know in Saudi

Saudi overtime under Article 107 is the full hourly wage plus 50% of the basic hourly wage, so the premium sits on basic pay while the base rate uses your full wage. The calculator asks for both figures for that reason. The same 50% premium applies to night hours, rest days and public holidays, including Eid and the national holidays.

Since February 2025, paid days off may replace overtime pay if you agree; the details are set by the executive regulations. During Ramadan, Article 98 limits actual working hours for Muslim workers to six a day or 36 a week. A contract or company policy may pay more than the legal 50%, but the law itself does not set a higher holiday rate.
