Wazzifai publishes calculators and guides about employment law in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. People use them to check money they are owed, so accuracy comes before everything else, including speed and search traffic.
The sources we rely on, in order
- The official text of the law as published by the government: for example the Saudi Bureau of Experts (laws.boe.gov.sa), Al Meezan for Qatar, and the UAE government portal (u.ae).
- Ministry guidance and official portals, such as MOHRE in the UAE, HRSD and Qiwa in Saudi Arabia, and the social insurance bodies.
- Published commentary from established law firms and advisers, used to understand how a rule is applied in practice. We never use commentary to contradict the law’s own text.
Each calculator and guide lists the sources it relies on, and each country’s rules carry a “last reviewed” date.
How the calculators are built and tested
- All six countries’ rules live in one data file, and every calculator, worked example and rule summary on the site is generated from it. A figure in a guide therefore cannot drift away from what the calculator computes.
- An automated test suite checks the calculation engine against results worked out by hand from the statutes, including edge cases such as the Saudi resignation thresholds at exactly two, five and ten years, leap years, unpaid leave and statutory caps.
- A second test drives all 36 calculator pages, in English and Arabic, in a real browser and compares every displayed result with an independent calculation.
When the law is unclear
Some points are genuinely unsettled: for example whether the UAE’s two-year gratuity cap is measured on basic or total wage, or Kuwait’s day-wage divisor. Where that happens we say so on the page, explain the approach the calculator takes, and tell you who can give a binding answer.
Independence

Corrections
If you find an error, contact us with the page address and, if possible, the source that shows the correct rule. We check every report against the official text, correct confirmed errors promptly, and update the page’s review date.
