How it is calculated
- Basis: Full wage.
- Hourly wage: monthly wage ÷ 26 days ÷ normal daily hours.
- Premiums: +25% · rest day +50%.
- Rest-day work earns 50% extra plus a substitute day; public-holiday work earns double pay plus a day off.

What to know in Kuwait
Kuwait's Articles 66 to 68 pay overtime on the full wage, not basic: the hourly rate plus 25% for ordinary extra hours. The calculator works out the hourly wage as monthly wage ÷ 26 ÷ your normal daily hours, following the common 26-working-day practice, which the law does not fix.
Work on your weekly rest day earns 50% extra plus a substitute day off, and work on a public holiday earns double pay plus a day off. Because the premium is calculated on full wage including allowances, Kuwait's overtime figures tend to be higher than in countries that use basic pay only.
